At only 21 years old, David’s life was tragically cut short following a sudden medical event while serving at his internship with the Abilene Hunger Coalition and Highland Food Pantry.
David was a remarkable young man whose faith, compassion, and joyful spirit touched countless lives. A dedicated Bible and Ministry major at Abilene Christian University, he had just completed his junior year and was known throughout the campus community as a person of deep conviction, kindness, and unwavering love for others. His vibrant personality, infectious humor, and genuine care for those around him made him a cherished friend, student, son, and brother.
Those who knew David often spoke of his extraordinary ability to reflect his faith through action. He was the type of person who noticed when someone was hurting and responded with empathy, understanding, and sincere compassion. Friends recall his willingness to listen, encourage, and support others during their most difficult moments. His life was a powerful example of servant leadership and Christian love.
